Best Vegan Bean Soup Recipes (From Black Bean To Cannellini)

You can use all sorts of different beans in soups. My favorite combo is cannellini, navy beans and red kidney beans. I normally use canned beans in soups for convenience. 

Dried beans work well in soups but they need to be washed, soaked overnight, drained, and cooked for longer – they’re a good option for using a slow cooker or even an instant pot.

It’s all about the seasoning. I like to add garlic, red pepper flakes, tomato paste, and miso to my bean soup.

Make a big batch in a large pot and store in airtight containers in the fridge. Reheat when needed on the stove or in the microwave.
